CASE STUDY | TareFORCE END TIPPERS

When a family farming operation decided to stop contracting out transport and bring it in-house, they needed trailers they could count on from day one. They turned to Duraquip – a manufacturer they already knew, and came away with a custom-specced TareFORCE outfit built to deliver genuine return on investment.

Expanding the operation – on their own terms

With two sons returning to the farm and a growing business, Bill and his family saw an opportunity to take on work they’d previously been paying others to do. Moving into road transport was new territory, which made the equipment decision critical.

“The trucking thing is new to us,” Bill explains. “We were chasing a set of trailers that we wanted good reliability out of in the first instance.”

Reliability wasn’t negotiable. Neither was the relationship. Having worked with Duraquip before, going back to a known manufacturer, one that’s local was the obvious first call.

A package built around value, not volume

Duraquip’s Rod worked closely with the family to spec a Tornado outfit that matched what their operation actually needed – nothing wasted, everything purposeful.

“I find it really satisfying being able to work through what they wanted out of their outfit,” says Rod. “Be able to put together a package that I know is going to deliver them good value, good bang for buck – scales, airbag suspension. They haven’t wasted money on the outfit, but they’ve put the money towards things that are going to be a good return on investment.”

That approach – spec for ROI, not spec for spec’s sake, is a reflection of how Duraquip works.

On-road and performing from the outset

Within days of hitting the road, the results were already speaking for themselves.

“The scales are working within a very small range of discrepancy – we’re able to deliver right on the button,” Bill reports. “The trailers are tracking well behind the prime mover. The tarping system, everything else is running well. Early days, but so far so good.”

Precise on-board scales mean accurate loads, less guesswork, and no costly overweight penalties. The airbag suspension keeps the outfit tracking cleanly. Two seasons on, Bill’s view of the build quality and ease of use hasn’t shifted.

“The workmanship is exceptionally good. They’re reluctant to do anything that would compromise their product. I guess we become the benefactors of that.”

Local. Loyal. Built on trust.

For Bill, the experience went beyond the trailer itself. Duraquip’s willingness to involve customers in the build process – to show what’s happening along the way, made the difference.

“They’ve been very easy to deal with and quite happy to take you in and show you what’s happening as you’re getting the build done. They’re just an easy crew to deal with.”

“Working with a local family farming operation just adds that little bit of extra satisfaction. When they ask for your advice, you know that they are wanting to hear it.”
